Mission

Increasing garment lifetimes is one of the most effective means of reducing their environmental footprint. Extending the life of clothing by an extra nine months could reduce carbon, waste and water footprints by around 20–30% each. Academics at the Centre for Sustainable Fashion at the London College of Fashion argue that carbon emissions and demand for water can be reduced through developing clothing maintenance skills, enhancing an appreciation of material qualities, and a ‘habit of mind’ that prefers existing items to new ones which then acts to slow cycles and volumes of consumption (Craft of Use).

Awesome Looks

I believe that demonstrating a subtle but good clothing taste generally elevates you in people interaction – and by that automatically makes you feel good about yourself. The presented designs are created and proven to have exactly that effect at least on myself. So I have opened shop for you to hopefully enjoy this feeling, as well! Two different collar upgrade designs for starters, but more designs will follow

Exclusive Designs

Changing one single mass-manufactured piece of clothing with new additions results in a single new piece which has not existed, before. You would be the only one to have it, no one else can have a similar one – anywhere on this planet. Quite exclusive, isn’t it?

Resource Mindset

When I read about this, I almost fell of my chair:

Even before, I felt that a habit of mind that prefers existing items over new ones felt like a good way to slow cycles and volumes of consumption. It should not just be me doing it, but maybe this also resonates with you? Our unique design pieces are an opportunity to give a nice fashion item at least a second life – and if you treat it nicely, you may even pass it on further!

What the Duck?

As an aviation enthusiast, I enjoy watching a bird’s flight. Looking at Duck’s final flare before touchdown stuck with me as a perfect snapshot of how to balance many things right towards a single, crucial moment (wind, speed, waves, attitude, balancing). Rooted in nature itself, this snapshot may serve as a symbol for regaining balance in our environment. Plus – it would be quite fun to say “the duck has landed” on an aviator’s radio chat!

Anyways

I strongly believe that YOU, too!; can take action – with or without me. Wear your clothes for a long time, have them re-fitted for latest fashion looks and wash them gently. Buy consciously for good quality and long life.

If you like the options on this page feel free to proceed further into the shop area – I would be happy to get in touch!
